It Ain't Enough

I love the moment in Miller's Daredevil when DD senses Elektra's presence. This is sort of a different take on it but close enough.

Have a safe and spooky Halloween, everyone!

By-Tor and the Snow Dog

Drawing of a rat. Or dog. Or both...? I dunno. It just sorta drew itself.

I'm feeling good.

The Zombie Bomb story is done. The Perhapanauts is done (barring any changes asked for). The One Night Stand story is done. The next thing on my plate is a set of illustrations for my friend, Nuv Takhar, who is putting together his own website of movie/music/what-have-you reviews called, ReView 2 A Kill.

After that, it's all about Davis (working title), the new project with writer/editor/pal, James Powell. We ain't shooting for no 5-8 page submission that will make the rounds to the usual suspects. Oh no, not this one. This is going to go the full distance. 100+ pages of "near-future crime story". Beginning, middle and end. Something to put on your bookshelf. It's going to be awesome.

Believe that.

Because You're Young

Another page from my high school sketchbook. This is page follows the page in this Flashback Friday post. Sorry about the f-bombs in this. What can I say? I was young and being "edgy".

Have a great weekend!

If You Want Blood (You Got It)

It's been a while since I've posted a full page of sequential art. I finished this page from the Zombie Bomb project the other night and got the OK from the story's writer, Anthony Schiavino, to post it up. Lots of blood in this one...

Anthony will be supplying the colours (and letters) for this short story, too. I should have colour pages from him in the next few days. I'll post one of those later next week, most likely.

Surfer Joe and Moe The Sleaze

I had another drawing I was working on for this blog but I was running out of time to finish it for today. So I tried my hand at a fast drawing of the Silver Surfer, instead. It'll do.

I should have the other drawing finished for tomorrow's post.

Oh yeah.... Zombie inks have begun!

Graveyard Train

Elektra in a graveyard. Seems fitting, no?

Feels like I'm on a roll, art-wise speaking. I finished up the pages for Perhapanauts Special last week. I also did a cover for the Special, too. I roughed out the 5 page zombie story that writer Anthony Schiavino and I are contributing to the Zombie Bomb anthology. Looking forward to putting ink to that, today!

I've also finished the art for the David Hopkins' One Night Stand anthology. Wish I could show that but, since the story is only one page long, I *may* give away the ending...

Sweetest Perfection

I got zombies on the brain. And hockey. So, here's a zombie hockey player. The perfect combo!

Working Man

Just a quick post to let you all know I'm still around. I've been working on finishing up the Perhapanauts pages (which are done!) and a cover for the Perhapanauts book (which I'm still working on). I can't post any of that stuff, though.... so in the meantime, here's another zombie warm up sketch.

Cannonball

So, I wanted to do something Marvel related, as I haven't done anything other than Perhapanauts inking for the past 4 days, and thought one of my favorite New Mutants would be a fine choice. It started as a really rough sketch idea of Cannonball blasting into the air but I got caught up in it and added the Hulk. Then, I needed to add a background. Then... I ran out of time and didn't get a chance to ink it.

Maybe tomorrow, though.

Watching TV

Sketched this while watching the Bruins/Capitals and Canucks/Flames games, last night. I love having the satellite hockey package!

What I Like About You

I inked this Perhapanauts panel late last night. Thought I'd share it, as I haven't shown much of the art from that story.

What I like about this panel is something you can't see. During the inking process, I made a few changes from the original pencil drawing, especially in the man's hands. I am very happy with the way they came out. Hopefully, you all dig it, too.
